STUDENTS ENRICH THEIR VOCABULARY WITH SYNONYMS & ANTONYMS

Communication is a vital part of every human being. One way of conveying information, written and oral in an efficient and effective way is expanding our vocabulary. Knowing many different synonyms and antonyms can help you diversify your writing and encourage you to think of other ways to say the same old thing. Furthermore, it can also improve both your oral skills and your writing skills, as noted in the following section. Finding words with similar meanings (Synonyms) that you can use in place of a word you use often can give you more ways to say the same thing. Understanding the opposite of a word (Antonyms), or exactly what the term does not represent – can lead to a more acute understanding of the word itself. This activity - Synonym and Antonym tree is a reinforcement of the concept in an interesting and engaging way. Students of Grade 3 participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
