“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page”.
Presidium was successfully able to organise an excursion trip to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Houston, Texas (The United States of America). NASA, offers a wonderful educational and entertainment experience for students and people of all ages. At NASA, students get a chance to explore experience and interact through space shuttle mission simulations.
During the 12 day long trip, students visited the NASA centre and were given a number of challenges including the launch of a weather balloon attached with a camera, a GPS tracker and an altimeter. They were also taught to build a remote control car and various steps for launching rockets.
Students spent one week training, touring the facilities at Kennedy Space Centre, interacting with NASA astronauts, and exploring the launching - landing facilities for space shuttles, shuttle manufacturing sites, making robots, riding on a shuttle launch simulator and many other such activities.
The trip was a perfect mixture of activities for students - fun, educational, thrilling and interesting. Students also visited Disneyworld and the Universal Studios in Florida, The Niagara Falls and the big apple - New York. It was indeed an astonishing and once in a lifetime experience.

Sussex is a beautiful county in South East England. It is about 70 kms from London. We Presidians had the thrilling opportunity to visit this spectacular place last year. We started our Sussex expedition by visiting the beautiful South Downs National Park. The Drusillas Park in East Sussex is widely regarded as the best small zoo in Europe and thus grabbed our interest for a visit. Most attractive activity was indeed Abseiling. The tower was over 10 metres high and the students had to walk backwards off the top, gradually working back towards ground level, suspended only on a rope. It was all about trust, courage and confidence. It’s also a very dynamic way to learn calculating and controlling risk. Some children deal with heights more easily than others, but the support and encouragement of the rest of the group is important for each individual’s success and help strengthen peer relationships. All activity sessions were led by their well trained, enthusiastic instructors and helped students to motivate, build confidence and encouraged overall development in students. Sussex trip will be cherished and remembered by out students and members of the staff forever.
At, Presidium, we believe that trips and excursions are a perfect way to expand one’s horizons. We encourage students to gain knowledge and explore new things not just within the boundaries, but also beyond them. Our trip to Singapore was one of them.
It was a five day tour which included-Singapore city tour which encompassed a ride in Singapore Flyer, the world’s largest observation wheel that offers a magnificent view of the spectacular scenery of Singapore, parts of Malayasia and Indonesia as well. The city tour also included the Merlion, an unofficial mascot of Singapore, Explanade Bridge, Fullerton Bay and Merlion Park that provided a breathe taking view of the city. Enroute, the Presidians also witnessed Little India, Suntec City and City Hall.
The students experienced the world’s first Transformer ride – The Ultimate 3D Battle, World’s Tallest Duelling Roller Coasters, Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park etc. They also witnessed the remarkable shows at Universal Studios such as Water World Show, Shrek 4D Adventure Show, Madagascar Ride and finally the Giant Roller Coaster Journey.
Night safari is the world’s first safari park for nocturnal animals. A 35 minutes tram ride with live commentary took the students across seven geographical zones of the world from the rugged Himalayan foothills to the swampy banks of Equatorial Africa. The awe-inspiring experience of witnessing animals in proximity left everyone enthralled.
Holland is a treasure trove of sights and experiences. The close proximity to many famous towns and cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Hague etc gives the opportunity to combine a coastal stay with a visit to some of the most interesting cities of the Netherlands. Each city is blessed with amazing architecture and inspiring art, the beautiful landscapes and amazingly warm people combine to deliver a fantastic and memorable school trip.
The famous city of Amsterdam had always been a centre of attraction of Netherlands. The Presidians explored the city on foot and visited all the famous museums.
Located in south Holland, Noordwijk was an eye catching experience for Presidians, it is a charming sea-side town which provides a very different example of life in the modern Netherlands. The stay was conveniently located within 40 minutes’ drive of Amsterdam, this lovely resort was an excellent place for our students to unwind after the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Miniature city, Madurodam in The Hague is the perfect place to discover what makes Holland so unique.Presidians were amazed to see miniatures of Canal houses, flower-bulb fields, cheese markets, windmills, the Peace Palace and Delta Works at one place.
Overall it was a wonderful and learning experience for students as well as teachers.
