Presidians commemorated the birth anniversary of the Architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, through a special assembly. Popularly known as Babasaheb, he was a man of social substance who became India’s first-ever independent law minister and principal architect of the Indian Constitution. Students presented thought-provoking speeches, quotes, posters, and poems which made it evident that his works and teachings are relevant even in today's times. The highlight of the assembly was a special skit based on the theme of untouchability, against which Babasahed fought throughout his life. The message was received well by one and all. The future citizens were enlightened about the importance of eradicating social evils like untouchability and caste-based discrimination. The assembly culminated with an inspiring message that one need not be born into great and influential families but with a goal, hard work, and responsibilities one can become great.
