Dated: 12-02-2022
“We want the deeper sincerity of a motive, a greater courage in speech and earnestness in action.”
India celebrates Sarojini Naidu’s birthday as National Women’s Day every year on 13th February, who was known as the ‘Nightingale’ of the country. Sarojini Naidu was not only a freedom fighter, but she also became the first woman governor of the United Provinces, the present Uttar Pradesh. To mark the day, we, at Presidium, organized a special assembly wherein the students were told about the importance of the day. They understood the importance of women in society, their influence, and the issues that affect them. Students also indulged in different art and craft activities and made beautiful flower crafts. The assembly was a great initiative by the students with an aim to promote a better future and life for women!
