"People without the knowledge of their history, origin, and culture are like a tree without roots." —Marcus Garvey
An online celebration of World Heritage Day, which is observed on 18th April every year, was organized for our Presidians. The core objective of this session was to create awareness and sensitize young minds about the historical monuments and heritage sites across the world. The session began with the power-point presentation on World Heritage Day, which was defined as the shared wealth of humankind. The session progressed with the quiz, with a special emphasis on UNESCO Heritage Sites, prepared by the teachers to fulfill the quest for knowledge of young Presidians. The quiz was an instant hit with the students as they were all eager to showcase their competitiveness. The students also showed their models of ancient buildings and structures available at their end. It helped the faculties to bring students a step closer to the accumulated wealth of humankind and imbibing the sense of preserving the cultural heritage for our future generations.
