‘Festivals are characterised by colour, gaiety, enthusiasm, prayers and rituals’. Keeping this in mind a special assembly was conducted by the students of Presidium on the occasion of Janmashtami, a festival which commemorates the earthly arrival of Lord Krishna. The assembly began with the recitation of Gayatri Mantra followed by an informative speech on the birth of Shri Krishna. The students enacted scenes depicting Shri Krishna’s birth, childhood and his triumph over Kansa. The assembly was a peep into the richness of Indian tradition and culture, and conveyed the strong message of "victory of good over evil."
