PRESIDIUM ORGANISES AQUA FIESTA AWARENESS DRIVE TO SAVE WATER

Presidium Gurgaon organized an Aqua Fiesta in sync with CMS Vatavaran, on 17th and 18th of December with an aim of spreading an awareness drive to save water and and maintain the ecological balance of nature. We believe that we can enhance the understanding of the natural world and its conservation through such events, which also offer avenues for wholesome entertainment.There were about twelve elite schools from Gurgaon and Delhi that participated in this festival, which was also an attempt to showcase the creative talent of young students.
Presidium Senior, Gurgaon, extended a platform for implementing and administering the complete event, which was conducted to a degree of great success. CMS Vatavaran is an NGO which provides a forum for International Environment and Wildlife. Even as the natural world appears to reach the end of its carrying capacity, this organization finds innovative, exciting and deeply encouraging ways to tackle environmental issues.
The event began with a note of sanctity by lighting the lamp by our renowned judges who adjudged the various activities. To keep pace with the changing times, a street play competition was organized. Street plays are the most ancient form of entertainment since time immemorial. The perkiest street play was of SD Adarsh Public School, Gurgaon.
The schools that participated in folk songs presented traditional music and other genres, depicting vast cultural diversity, with soul-stirring performances in which Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon was the winner. The Elomime competition left the audience in a trance, as the artists held the attention and interest of the audience with euphoria. St. Angel’s School, Gurgaon was the winner.
The exhibits and artists who were a part of the ‘On the Spot Painting Competition’ enhanced the narrative of their work subject with rich colours. The school that emerged as winner was Euro International School, Gurgaon.
In the folk dance competition, the various contestants, through their performances in folk and tribal dances, depicted rituals and practices in flamboyant costumes and extensive jewels. The winner was Blue Bells School, Gurgaon.
Spin a Story was another event where participants came out with totally fanciful stories which had a profound meaning and a moral. Debate, extended a platform wherein the participants had innumerable opportunity for formal discussion on Water the Elixir of Life. K R Mangalam, Gurgaon was the proud winner of the event while the overall trophy was lifted by St. Angel’s School, Gurgaon.
