Dated: 03-12-2018
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” - Hellen Keller
To celebrate the high spirits and will power of children with special needs, Presidians came together to mark World Disability Day. The importance of celebrating the achievements of the differently abled people and ensuring equality & dignity was a key highlight of the day. Students talked about the achievements of India’s paralympic team as an example of how disability cannot define one’s ability and potential. A special skit was also performed wherein this year’s theme of ‘empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality’ was beautifully depicted. The assembly ended with a message of love and respect.
