GIRL CHILD DAY: PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF GENDER EQUALITY

A big part of education is to let the young generation, especially young women know they have a right. With this thought the students of Presidium celebrated the International Day for the Girl Child. Following this year’s theme - ‘With Her: A Skilled Girl Force”, the students performed a skit wherein they stressed upon expanding existing learning opportunities and prepare girls to be independent by imparting ‘skills for employability’. Presidians also spoke about the importance of learning self defence for girls and being strong to stand for their rights. Towards the end of the celebration, the students pledged to spread and imbibe the concept of basic justice and gender equality.
