PRESIDIANS IMPRESS ALL THROUGH THEIR ORATORY SKILLS IN ELOCUTION

Elocution refers to one’s capacity to communicate with others, using exact speech and gestures. It is an art that helps students improve their communication skills and become more persuasive when they speak. In line with this idea, an Elocution Competition was organized for Grade 4 and 5 students, in an attempt to promote speaking skills, in terms of pronunciation, delivery, and voice modulation, and to develop English in its spoken form. Every student presented the topic with great enthusiasm and vigor. The students were judged based on the clarity of speech, memory, pronunciation, expression, and body language. The objective of this activity was to make the students more expressive, confident, and spontaneous speakers. It was astounding to see how beautifully students had put their thoughts, insights, and humor while delivering the speech.
