OUR BUDDING STORYTELLERS ENHANCE THEIR NARRATIVE SKILLS

To spark curiosity about reading in our young Presidians, a picture Reading competition was recently organized wherein students participated in full zeal and energy. The contest helped little Presidians explore early reading skills for fun and engaged them in a beautiful learning experience. The competition started with the teacher showing a picture to the kids and they were asked to identify what they see in the picture and to think about the information on the chart and what they want to say about it to generate a sentence. Students identified what is going on in each picture and found meaning in text and pictures. They were assessed on their dynamic vocabulary, comprehension, and expression. It was wonderful to see how our young readers decoded visual images and made meaning from print.
