STUDENTS HONE THEIR VOCABULARY WITH SPELLATHON COMPETITION

Spelling, the art of correctly assembling words from their letters, is one of the essential components of successful writing. To motivate students to take a keen interest in enriching their vocabulary and pronunciation skills to become effective and impressive communicators, Presidium organized an Inter-Class English Spellathon Competition. The competition started with an interesting prelude with the ‘Spell – check.’ The different rounds, namely visual cue, unjumble the letters, riddles, homophones/ Synonyms, spotting the correct spelling, surely tested memory, understanding, application, and critical thinking of the students. This competition was a rather amazing platform for students to learn new words, enhance their vocabulary and concentrate on language building. The students exhibited a lot of zeal and fervour during the competition. This competition also helped in enriching the vocabulary bank of the students.
