s of Grade-VI aiming at creating an interactive tool for students containing an array of words that can be used during writing and reading. Each student was assigned a letter with which a minimum of five words were to be made. The students were asked to write high-frequency words by looking up the dictionary and referring to bulletins, magazines, textbooks, and other such resources relevant to the content area of their curriculum. The purpose of this activity was not only to enhance the vocabulary skills of the children but also to create a collection of words to be displayed in large visible letters on a wall, bulletin board, or other display surfaces in a classroom. While collecting words, the students were also able to see patterns and relationships in words, thus building phonics and spelling skills. Students found this activity engaging as a plethora of new words were learned and practiced.
