To rejoice the birthday of the renowned first Sikh Guru, who was the founder of Sikhism, our Presidians came packed with the spirit of devotion and joy in the special assembly. Teachers briefed the students about the life history of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with the help of a Powerpoint presentation and inspired them to incorporate his teachings in their lives. Students were dressed in traditional Punjabi attire to display the spirit of the festival. They remembered the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji which remind us time and again that the essence of all religions lies in the oneness of God. Students were also encouraged to follow the path of universal brotherhood and harmony. They gave speeches, recited poems, and shared a few teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was indeed a pleasure for all to see tender hearts and innocent faces glowing with brightness while chanting 'EK OMKAR.'
