The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with traditional fervour at Presidium. Presidians participated in a special assembly and apprised the audience about the festival, which marks the triumph of light over darkness and the beginning of the Hindu new year. They also highlighted the significance of this important day and took turns to speak about this day when Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after 14 years in exile. Students were encouraged to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali and refrain themselves from burning crackers so as to create a clean environment. Students enthusiastically danced on foot tapping music, recited poems on Diwali and exchanged sweets and gifts with friends and teachers. The assembly came to a close with school songs and the National anthem.
