Kargil Vijay Diwas, named after the successful Operation Vijay, is celebrated in India on 26th July every year. To make students aware of this great day we scheduled a special assembly in Presidium to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of India’s victory. The assembly started with a special tribute 'Shradhanjali' to commemorate the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil War. The teacher told the students that Kargil Martyrs were the symbol of courage and sacrifice for safeguarding the borders of the Country. To make students aware of the contributions of armed forces in national security and nation-building, they were shown a movie on the Kargil war. Students paid tribute to the Kargil War Heroes by indulging in different activities. The endeavor was to spread the message that it is the duty of each one of us to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs, rejoice in their victories and renew our gratitude for their presence at our borders so that we may go about our lives uninterrupted.
