A DAY DEDICATED TO THE DIVINITY OF LORD BUDDHA

“Mind is everything. What we think, we become.”- Lord Buddha
Buddha Purnima commemorates and celebrates the birth and enlightenment of Lord Buddha. To celebrate the spirit of this auspicious day a special assembly was organized by our industrious students. The assembly commenced with the prayer and chants of 'Buddham Saranam Gacchami'. This was followed by a PowerPoint presentation and discussions about Buddhism. Presidians threw light on the life of Gautama Buddha and the importance of non-violence by creating stunning posters with impressive quotes. Budhha is considered an extraordinary man as he was a great teacher, a philosopher and a spiritual leader. Our young learners spoke about his teachings and discerned that wisdom, kindness, patience, generosity and compassion are important virtues. The message of being kind to other fellow beings and not quarrelling with each other was also conveyed to pupils. The high-spirited assembly inspired everyone to follow truthfulness and live a cheerful and peaceful life.
