Onam is the biggest festival in the state of Kerala. It is the harvest festival celebrating nature's reward after a year of hard work by the farmers. It also marks the homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali. Students of Presidium were apprised with the knowledge of this festival through a special assembly. Our Young Presidians enthusiastically participated in the assembly by giving speeches on the festival's importance and performing a dance on occasion. The students portrayed their understanding of the festival by intricately decorating Pookalam (Rangoli) in their homes and penning down their imagination in the beautiful scenes of a breathtaking snake boat race. The students took away a message of oneness and brotherhood that the festival signifies.
