“One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages opens every door along the way.” - Frank Smith
One of the biggest challenges that stands in the way of literacy is multilingualism. To achieve literacy goals and promote universal access to quality education, it is important that we embrace linguistic diversity in education in this modern world. The Presidians celebrated International Literacy Day propagating this very agenda of the UN. They spread awareness about Literacy & Multilingualism by distributing pamphlets. An assembly was also conducted wherein the students highlighted the importance of education in our lives and how being literate is a human right. They also pledged to contribute towards providing the underprivileged access to literacy. The little Presidians displayed scores of enthusiasm in awaking the masses for removing the social stigma of illiteracy.
