ASTRONOMY WORKSHOP:BUDDING SCIENTISTS TAKE A TOUR TO THE STARS!

To introduce the subject of astronomy and mathematics to the students, Presidium recently organised an Astronomy Workshop in association with SPACE. SPACE is the only organization consistently working with students, offering innovative education and making learning interesting. A range of activities were planned for the students to trigger their scientific temper and enhance their critical thinking skills. They learnt about the celestial bodies in the universe as well as how to operate various tools such as a telescope. They also witnessed the working model of a rocket launcher. The objective of the workshop was to nurture students who aspire to follow the footsteps of noted Indian astronomers and pursue astronomy as a career. It was a great exercise for the Presidians as they explored the world of science in a very unique way.
