PRESIDIANS EXPLORE THE WORLD OF MATHEMATICS WITH INNOVATIVE TOOLS

A very important part of the curriculum of Presidium is experiential learning, which gives the students freedom to get hands on experience and understand diverse concepts in their own way. Keeping this is mind, a ‘Math Activity’ was organised for the students of grade 1 to introduce them to the world of mathematics. The students used innovative tools like jodo blocks, dot cards and ‘mathemat’ to identify and demonstrate different combinations of numbers. The activity enhanced the subitizing skills of the students. The students were excited to play with numbers while embarking on the journey of mathematics.
