INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY:PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO SAVE NATIONAL ANIMAL
Dated: 28-07-2018
International Tiger Day is celebrated as a way to raise awareness about tiger conservation. The day was founded in 2010, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by the year 2022. To promote this cause, our Presidians conducted a special assembly on ‘Save Tigers’. The young leaders talked about project ‘Save Tigers’ and shared important facts about tigers and their pivotal role in balancing & maintaining the ecosystem. They expressed how these magnificent creatures will be on the verge of extinction if we don’t join hands to save them. With spectacular skits showcasing the pitiful life of a tiger and other inspiring performances, the students encouraged the audience to raise awareness about tiger conservation and actively participate in a global system of preserving our natural resources. Through this assembly, Presidium successfully fulfilled it’s aim of creating environmentally responsible global citizens.
