1650 rounds fired; nation wounded forever!
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place on 13th April 1919, when troops of the British Indian Army, under the command of Brigadier General Reginald Dyer, fired rifles into a crowd of Baisakhi pilgrims, gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab. Our young Presidians respectfully observed this day with a rousing morning assembly, to pay a solemn tribute to the martyrs of this brutal massacre. Extending a heartfelt salute to the departed souls, the young learners touched the core of everyone’s heart with the ethos of deep love for our nation.
